Halloween with the kids this year

Well we made it thru it!!! This year was an absolutely gorgeous halloween evening at around 65 degrees outside!!! YAY...NO SNOW! I hope you all enjoyed the same good fortune!! We did start to get a little drizzle toward the end of our candy hunt but that is ok, we were at the end. The kids had a so much fun as did Brock and I just being there with them to enjoy in their fun!! They got plenty of candy and of course shared it with us. Which of course as most of you know makes me VERY happy!!

Happy Halloween

Can you believe it that its that time of year again already? It has just crept up sooo fast this year!! Well the kids are so very excited to go out trick-or-treating as usual!!! Lauren has gone back and forth this year from costume to costume. First she was going to be a large baby in some of the jammies with the feet in them carrying around a blanky and a pacifier. But she has now decided to be a big FAT blow up balarina...hahah!! Brennen has decided to be a very scary sort of SCREAM type charachter!!! I will take pictures and post them after Halloween!! We are also taking our niece Kylie with us this year. That is gonna be loads of fun!! Lauren and Brennen are really excited about that too!! So is she!!! Lauren keeps saying she is gonna take her pillow case so she can carry more candy!!! My biggest concern is that it stays warm outside!! BRRRRRR Well good luck to all you parents that have to brave it!!!

Hi everyone, welcome to our blog! Isnt this just the coolest thing? Wow!! Just wanted to give everyone updates on how the crew is doing since we are so far away from one another. Brock is still pounding away at West Valley but counting down his time til retirement there....he only has months left! I am still answering phones and dealing with people at OC. And yes we still have our blind business on the side. We are also still bowling but only one night a week to get time out for ourselves. But the most important part of our lives is the kids, and they are ALL thriving! Lincoln has been doing construction work in Idaho and has recently moved into a place of his own. We dont get to see him as much as we would like to but he sends us an occasional text to say "I love you". (you know how kids are today...with technology) Alysha has also moved out to a place of her own (kinda), she is living with Ben....our soon to be son-in-law. Yes, she is engaged to be married! Well not that soon though, next September. Can you believe that one? Man we are getting old!! Nicholas is now a junior in high school, my how time flies. I cant keep him off the phone with John Thomas and he sure enjoys his weekend get togethers with Dallin, Shelby and Kira when the house is sooo loud! He is now 16 and ready to get his permit as soon as I take him to the DMV, when I am ready to brave that mad house. Lauren is 10 going on 16! She is in 5th grade, now babysitting for her cousins that are 6yrs old and 2yrs old as well as some neighbors and loving it! Brennen just turned 8 is in the 2nd grade with loads of buddies! He is so active, always wanting to go, go, go! They are all into this new thing called Bakugan, and of course video games and playing outiside.
